Do you want to make money blogging?
Then ask yourself how much you want to earn. Because the answer to this question will decide if you will really be able to be a successful blogger.
It’s easy to start blogging. But it’s far more difficult to maintain it and make it a successful one. I am not trying to tell you that you can’t do it. But I am surely trying to make you realize your blogging strength.
As mentioned for many times in this blog, blogging is often started with a hope to generate income from it. More or less, every blogger earns some amount of money. If you are not one of these bloggers you surely expect to make it possible.
But the biggest question that lies behind is how many of these bloggers earn enough money to live their life without any job.
You may not believe; but a very small percentage of bloggers can actually make it possible. Others fail or start looking for alternative ways.
Here are some of the biggest blogging mistakes bloggers make.
I hope it’s not the same for you. If you are a blogger or just want to start blogging, ask yourself the following questions ….
Do You Really Take Blogging Seriously?
This is probably the biggest reason why most bloggers fail.
If you are serious about blogging, you would surely do your best to make your blog popular. But if you are not taking your blog seriously; after a certain time, you would be bored with it. You will not be able to continue it any more.
It doesn’t always matter how much you earn from your blog.
What really matters is far from it really.
If you don’t enjoy whatever you are doing, it is not worth it. It is said that you must have a real passion for blogging. Only then you can expect success in it.
If you enjoy blogging, it doesn’t matter how much you earn, your passion will not let you quit.To make a blog successful, a continuous effort is more important than everything else.
It can happen only if you are serious and enjoy your work.
Also the meaning of success is not same for everyone. Ask yourself what is your meaning of blogging success. If you just want to share and it doesn’t matter how many people know your blog, it’s absolutely fine.
But if you want to make it your online identity, you have to work hard.
Really you have to work hard – SERIOUSLY.
Do You Want to Invest Your Money in Blogging?
If you want to make money blogging, it should be treated as a business.
Every business requires some investment from your part. Your money should be invested to market your blog so that you can reach a bigger audience. Because without enough audience, your blog is just a dead page on the web.
In one of my articles I already tried to show the reality of blogging earnings. I suggest to read it once. It will give you an idea why most bloggers find it difficult.
May be, you are an excellent blogger.
But you will probably discover some ways to improve your online presence.
More or less, I am repeating the same words here. If you take your blog seriously, invest your money to market your blog. As long as you believe that people will like your blog, you should start advertising right away.
Think about Facebook. It is world’s biggest social networking site and of course, visited by millions of people every single day. Still we can see advertisements promoting Facebook. Why ??? Ask yourself and you’ll find an answer.
Do You Really Love Helping People?
This is something that makes bloggers popular. If your blog contains helpful information, people will not only visit your blog frequently, but also share your name with others. This will help you build recognition.
Because more and more people will get to know about you and your blog.
If you share things that people don’t like or don’t find helpful, they will more likely stop visiting your blog. So give them a reason to visit your blog.
Does what you say on your blog motivates people to do something better?
Do they get solution to their problems?
Are you really helping them?
In the world of blogosphere, it is very important that people find your contents helpful. This is the only method by which your blog can be popular.
Also it’s very important to update your blog if it requires frequent updates. This will make people visit your blog frequently for updates.
As a result, you will also gain attention from world’s biggest search engines.
Updates are important. But still, it’s not really very important in terms of getting traffic. Rather, i would give more important to blog promotions and marketing.
Please note that your blog will get traffic depending on the quality of your contents; not for the quantity of your blog posts.
Are You a Good Writer to Express Yourself?
A good writer is the person who can write interesting articles; an article that people would like to share. So to make people share what you write, you need to be an excellent quality writer.
In the beginning, you may not be able to write good quality articles.
But gradually, it’ll improve. If you don’t find any improvement in your writing skills, may be; blogging is not for you.
In one of my previous articles, I already mentioned the importance of being a good writer. Articles play a very important role in online marketing. And blogging is mostly about writing. So if you are not a good writer, think again.
You must also have enough knowledge to continue writing on a particular subject. Without enough knowledge, it will be very difficult to run a niche blog.
You must not forget that niche blogs work ten times better than blogs on multiple topics, in terms of generating revenue.
Do You Spend Most of Your Time Creating Contents?
This is one of many dangerous mistakes that most bloggers make. They spend most of their time creating contents. It’s true that quality content is important and it plays the most prominent role in blogging success.
But you must also get your contents in front of the people who need it and probably share it. Then only, you can expect appreciations for your work.
Writing good articles is not always enough. People should know about it.
So if you spend most of your time to write articles without thinking enough about marketing, you are going nowhere …. REALLY.
Gradually, your blog will become an Article bank and not a platform where people gather to share ideas and knowledge.
If you can answer all the above questions with a positive answer, you are going to be successful. But if you are not confident with your answer … THINK AGAIN.
Blogging may be a good source of income for some people.
But it’s not for everyone.
So it is now clear why most bloggers fail to make money blogging.
I believe that there may be many other reasons to fail. Because different people have different opinions.
These were all what I consider the biggest reasons behind an unsuccessful blog.
I also know that the meaning of success is different for everyone. So don’t forget to share your opinions through comments. Thank you for your time.
